"Unidentified reference to main" when attempting to build PractRand [closed]

screenshot of error message in Linux command prompt

Hi, I'm new here so forgive me if the question isn't entirely clear

I'm attempting to build PractRand on a VM running Ubuntu 22.04, the latest LTS version. I'm following the installation instructions set out in this page on SourceForge: https://pracrand.sourceforge.net/installation.txt

Normally I would just run the makefile, but PractRand doesn't have one.(https://pracrand.sourceforge.net/)

I get to the section where you build the command line tools and the first line produces the error seen in the screenshot. From what I can gather, it comes with precompiled files for Windows.

If it's of any use, this is being run inside of a VM.

What might the solution be to solve this?

I've already tried going through the steps again, and I've researched it elsewhere before coming here, so I'm stuck for what to do
