I am recently facing an issue where, upon starting my system, I receive error popups this issue started after i installed ubuntu in my system but even after removal of ubuntu also the issue persist. I've tried various methods suggested on platforms like Microsoft support, Google, and YouTube, but I am unable to overcome the error. Due to this error, I am unable to open Notepad, Paint, images, and some other applications. However, if I boot my system in safe mode, I do not encounter the error.

Cross DeviceService.exe - Bad ImageC:\ProgramFiles\WindowsApps\Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00.UWPDesktop_14.0.3372 8.0_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MSVCP140.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020.

Similarly for VCRUNTIME.dll, VCRUNTIME_140.dll etc..

Steps I've Tried:

  1. Downloaded and added VCRUNTIME_140.dll and MSVCP.dll files to my file explorer.
  2. Reinstalled Microsoft redistributable files.
  3. Checked for malware using the sfc /scannow command, but found nothing suspicious.Despite these attempts, I am still encountering the error.

System Details:Operating System: Windows11Recent Changes: Installed Ubuntu for virtual box, but I removed.

What can I do to overcome this error? Can anyone suggest a solution for this problem?Thank you in advance for your help!
