I set up my system to use msmtp (installed msmtp msmtp-mta bsd-mailx for compatibility purposes).
The mail command is working without issue. However, unattended upgrades seems to use the sendmail command and for whatever reason, the from address is set as "root". This is making my mail undeliverable.
I have the from address set in my /etc/msmtprc, but when mail gets sent from unattended upgrades, it seems to get ignored.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
I was expecting the from address to match what is in my /etc/msmtprc file.
