I am facing an issue where my laptop becomes completely unresponsive after locking the screen. When I try to wake it up, it does not turn on or respond in any way. I have tried multiple solutions, but nothing has worked so far.
Steps I Have Tried:
Reinstalled Ubuntu – The problem persists even after a fresh install.
Tried Fedora – The same issue occurs, so it's not specific to Ubuntu.
Changed SSD & RAM – No improvement.
Reset BIOS Settings – Did not help.
Checked Power & Battery – The laptop works fine otherwise, but once locked, it won’t wake up.
Additional Details:
I am using HP pavilion 14 ce0082tx.
Ubuntu version: 24.4.1
Fedora version: 41 workstation
Kernel version: 6.8.0-41-generic
Secure Boot: Disabled
Could this be a hardware issue? If so, what components should I check? Could it be related to the graphics driver, power management settings, or something else? Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.
