Issue with Ubuntu Installation - No Bootable Device and BIOS Password Lock [closed]

Ubuntu Installation Issue:

I used balenaEtcher to create a bootable USB with Ubuntu LTS and installed it on my laptop.

After the installation, I was prompted to restart the laptop and unplug the USB. However, when I remove the USB and try to boot, it gives the error: "No bootable device found."

If the USB is inserted, the system boots to the installation menu again and gives me an option to "Install Ubuntu alongside Ubuntu," indicating that the installation is present but not properly booting.

BIOS Password Lock:

My laptop has a BIOS password set by the previous owner, preventing me from accessing the BIOS to change boot settings or boot order.

Since I cannot access the BIOS, I am unable to adjust the settings necessary for the laptop to boot properly into Ubuntu.

Issues with Other Distributions:

I also tried creating bootable USBs with other Linux distributions like Fedora and Mint, but these are not detected as bootable by my laptop.

  1. Ubuntu Installation:What I Tried: I used balenaEtcher to create a bootable USB with Ubuntu LTS, installed it on my laptop, and followed the installation steps. After the installation, I unplugged the USB and rebooted.

What I Expected: I expected the laptop to boot directly into Ubuntu from the hard drive without needing the USB drive.

  1. Bootable USB Detection:What I Tried: After the installation failed to boot, I tried using different USBs (Fedora and Mint) to see if they were detected and could boot.

What I Expected: I expected the laptop to detect these USBs and allow me to boot from them in order to install or try a different Linux distribution.

  1. BIOS Access:What I Tried: I tried accessing the BIOS by spamming the ESC key during startup and attempted to boot from the USB in the boot menu.

What I Expected: I expected to be able to change the boot order or settings to allow Ubuntu to boot properly from the hard drive.

  1. BIOS Password:What I Tried: I attempted to boot without changing any BIOS settings due to the password issue and tried to find alternate ways to reset the BIOS password.

What I Expected: I hoped to find a way to either reset the BIOS password or bypass it so I could access the BIOS and make the necessary boot changes.

Unfortunately, none of these attempts worked, and I’m still unable to boot into Ubuntu or any other Linux distribution without the USB inserted. I need help to resolve this issue.
